Porter provides two sets of prints; six framed black and white film stills captured from her last short film, ‘N or Nor W, study of a Canterbury wind’ (2012) and four framed binocular colour photo-montages titled ‘Dual Channel, pre-production study’ - a thematic experiment for a film project. The ‘Dual Channel’ photo-montages are recurrent to her working approach as she continues to set autobiographical facts and fictions into South Island landscapes, using open ended lyrical narratives, and superimposition and the masked iris as editing device.

Ed Lust presents a pair of paintings; both accumulations of dots. Lacking gravity and any graspable subject, void of all except shifts in colour and scale, they become graphed matter (or antimatter) but with no key. Alluding to visions astronomical (a theme explored by Lust in his animated works) or cultures of the microbial, there are hints of slow growth. The pair, an uneasy diptych, invite comparison and choice, like two faraway doors opening to the same dilemma.
